Fukuoka Yuri
福岡佑梨
Fukuoka Yuri (1987-) makes beautiful art pieces which expand the boundary of the ceramic arts. Her works express the purity of white porcelain and cobalt which is an essential pigment in Japanese art. Her multi-layered technique shows airy presence and transcends heft of the medium.
She was a finalist of the 59th Faenza Prize (The International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art ) in Italy (2015) and a Mención de honour of Bienal Internacional de Cerámica in Spain (2017). She awarded the excellent award at the 1st “Lotus Mountain Prize” International Ceramics contest in China (2019).
