Maeta Akihiro

前田昭博

Maeta Akihiro (1954- ) is the Living National Treasure of Japan. He creates flowing faceted vessel-like sculptural works solely utilising the medium of white porcelain. His pieces are formed and faceted by hand into objects of serenely pure beauty.
