Ishida is one of the most talented young Bizen artists who makes beautiful spiral-patterned ceramic sculptures.
This work is a result of his pursuit of the clay’s beauty which cannot be expressed by other media. It shows exquisite ripple surface and crescent form that reminds us of the grandeur of nature and wonderfulness of the artist’s technique.
