Shimaoka Tatsuzo

島岡達三

Shimaoka Tatsuzo (1919-2007) was the Living National Treasure of Japan and one of the most distinguished ceramic artists of the 20th century. His signature technique of rope inlay helps delineate form and creates a softer surface texture for the rich glaze.
